Ryan Zielonka is a researcher and freelance author. He wears many hats at the National Bureau of Asian Research as a Next Generation fellow and is also contributing editor for Wannabebig.com. His work has appeared in a variety of publications, including T-Muscle and the Alan Aragon Research Review. He earned both his BA and MA in international affairs from the University of Washington, where he graduated with honors.
His research interests include international political economy, US/Asia-Pac foreign affairs, political theory, global technology, and evolutionary and social psychology.
In the past he has served as a business development associate, writing tutor, university instructor, and occasionally provided fitness consultations to an online clientele.
When not reading or writing, he spends his free time playing guitar, weight training, or watching films. He can speak and write Japanese and is currently learning Chinese.
He lives in Seattle, WA, is 26 years old, and drinks entirely too much coffee.
