Ryan Zielonka is a strategy consultant, writer, and educator with expertise in corporate strategy, corporate governance, organizational behavior, high technology, life sciences, and international affairs. His research interests include the study of the social sciences, psychology, neuroscience, the health sciences, and behavioral economics as they apply to succeeding in work and in life.
As a strategic management consultant, he has rendered services to clients in both the public and private sectors and currently works for a premiere global firm. Previously, he worked for a foreign policy research institute as a project management and research fellow where he focused on foreign affairs in the Asia-Pacific. He has also provided independent health and wellness advisory services to several clients, written for numerous publications, and served as a graduate writing consultant and freelance editor.
Outside his professional pursuits, Ryan wrote for and played lead guitar in several punk, hard rock, and metal bands in the Seattle area, and released a total of four albums, two of which he produced and engineered. He is currently a mentor and advisor for the University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson School alumni network. Ryan earned both his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He continues his practice of guitar, maintains a voracious reading schedule, and is a lifelong student of excellence and greatness. He lives with his wife in San Francisco, CA.
