The sets up until 210x4 are all warmup for the actual top set (hence the 3min rest before the heaviest set). The main difference between this method and a regular pyramid is the amount of volume leading up to the top weight. Volume in warmup sets is kept low so you have your full strength when hitting the heaviest weight.</description>

I hear ya with respect to higher frequency and volume. Different strokes for different folks. I just find RVT to be a brilliantly effective method for increasing strength and size if paired with complimentary programming.</description>
